Medford is a suburb that lies conveniently northwest of Boston. Originally settled in 1630, the city was originally a part of Charlestown. In 1892 Medford was officially incorporated as a city and became a bustling industrial center. It was home to the manufacturing of things like brick, tile, rum, crackers and clipper ships.

Today, Medford has emerged as an ideal option for those wanting to live in close proximity to the city of Boston, but have needs for more space just outside of town. Home to Tufts University, Medford offers great housing opportunities with a great range. More urban locations like Station Landing and Medford Square boast apartments and condos that benefit from being located among shops, restaurants and public transportation. Venture to West Medford where land becomes more abundant and you will see more single family homes with yards, driveways and sometimes garages.
