The town of Arlington was a farming community which had been known for growing its own lettuce and was settled in 1635. Later, the area played a role in the ice industry with an ice house that was along Spy Pond up until the 1930’s.
Today, Arlington has been a prime location for many as it lies just northwest of Boston. An abundance of schools, both public and private, make for great options for young families. For commuters, the accessibility to Boston coupled with a vibrant community full of shopping, dining and entertainment has made Arlington an easy choice. There are several parks, ponds and historic sites found throughout for all to enjoy in their spare time.
